Your tour from Marrakech to Erg Chigaga in the Moroccan desert will start at 07:45 with a pick-up from your Marrakech hotel/Riad.
Departing from Marrakech, cross the Atlas Mountains via the Tichka Pass, which offers some stunning views.
A few stops are made to admire the scenery and take photos.
We arrive in Ouarzazate for lunch before continuing towards Zagora across the Draa River, which has given life to a huge oasis stretching for some 200km at the foot of the Anti-Atlas Mountains.
Several palm groves will provide shade between the Kasbahs and fortified villages dotted with fields of corn, barley, vegetables and henna plantations. Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Zagora.

After breakfast, we will head towards M'hamid (where the paved road ends), passing through the village of Tamagroute, where we will have the opportunity to visit one of the oldest Koranic libraries in Morocco, then the neighbouring kasbah famous for its pottery workshop.

Lunch will be served in M'hamid at your leisure.
In the early afternoon, we will reach the Erg Chigaga dunes passing through different features of the desert; 'Erg', 'Reg', 'Hammadas and oases.

The dunes of Erg Chigaga are far from civilization and the silence of the sand is all-encompassing.

Ride a camel through the dunes and enjoy one of the most spectacular sunsets over the changing dunes.

Enjoy a sumptuous dinner under the stars by a campfire while being entertained by local nomads playing local music.
Night in your camp in the Sahara desert.

After breakfast, the road takes us through 90 km of desert with a variety of landscapes: first we cross the dry salt lake of Iriqui and the Anti Atlas mountains, following the old route of the “Rally Paris Dakar”.
Then towards Foum Zguid, the first village after the desert, where the asphalt road begins.

After lunch, continue to the Berber village of Taznakht, famous for its Berber carpets.
We arrive in Ouarzazate late in the afternoon.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Ouarzazate.

After breakfast, we can enjoy a visit to the film studios located just outside Ouarzazate, which is known as the Hollywood of Africa.
We then continue to visit the world heritage site of Kasbah Ait Ben Hadou, previously used as a set for more than 20 Hollywood blockbusters, including “Gladiator,” “Indiana Jones,” and “Lawrence of Arabia.” Enjoy a walk to explore the traditional Moroccan style of architecture in which the Kasbahs are built.

We continue our way to Marrakesh through the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n’Tichka pass. Depending on time, lunch can be served in Ait Ben Hadou or the Atlas Mountains on the way to Marrakech.
Arrival at Marrakech by 17h00 PM.
